Reverend Hegbert Sullivan
who is played by Peter Coyote , one
of the important characters on this movie. Reverend as
Jamie’s father work as a pastor at South Carolina church. Reverend has a
proctective temper to his daughter Jamie. Nobody knows the reason why he do
that but he always disallow Jamie to go out with her friends. As a father , he
have a role as a mother too for Jamie. At the first time, he was not to happy
saw Jamie and Landon always go out together, he know well how Landon’s temper.
He want the best things for his daughter, but when Jamie hospitalized, he realized that how great Landon’s love for his daughter until
his heart finally melted and allowed Landon
close to his daughter. Reverend fell so
happy about that. Reverend even helped Landon make telescopes for Jamie. It
proving that Reverend really love Jamie. Until Jamie and Landon married and he
must face the facts that he lost her beloved daughter in the end of summer.
