This is I wrote when I was first semester, about Descriptive.
Introduction:
My Hometown
I would
like to tell you about my hometown. It’s located in Pare-Pare, Makassar, South
Sulawesi. It can be accessed by air plane, about two hours and continue from
Hassanuddin Airport by car about three or four hours. Another one, by ship,
ittakes three days (from Jakarta).
Most
people in Pare-Pare are Bugisness, the other are Toraja, Makassar and Mandar.
Almost bugisness are muslim, but some of them are Christian and mystical Believe.
The
traditional foods in Pare-Pare are Coto Makassar, Sop Condro, Burasa and Pisang
Epe. The most well-known in Indonesia is Coto Makassar, it is like Soto.
However, people in Pare-Pare really like Pisang Epe as their famous traditional
foods. Pisang Epe made from the press banana, it’s grilled and served with
cheese.
Pare-Pare
has two tourism object. They are Pasar Senggol and Lumpue beach. Pasar Senggol
is like a traditional market in the morning and it changes when the night
comes. It can be so awesome place in the night because many people, local and
international hang out in Pasar Senggol.
There
are so many food stands with traditional menu. Besides, Lumpue Beach is another
object. Lumpue Beach is located in western Pare-Pare. The traditional society
told that Lumpue Beach has a superstition belief. No one can swim over there
because if there is someone do it, she or he will be killed, at least lost by
the waves.
In the
end, if you want to know deeply about Pare-Pare, you can use Pete-Pete and mini
pedicap there, (Pete-Pete=Angkot).
